Myofascial Release

Myofascial Release

Myofascial release is a combination of therapy routines and stretching with the goal of improving health and reducing pain and stress. The objective of myofascial release therapy is to dissolve blockages of the fascia (tissues that connect every tissue and organ in the body) in order to resolve any connective tissue scarring or injury problems. This hands-on therapy is utilized for patients who are experiencing emotional stress, physical injury, poor posture, sickness, as well as many other maladies. Myofascial release therapy relieves tensions to muscles, nerves, joints and bones. The outcome is a harmony with circulation and nervous system transmission.

In myofascial release therapy, our therapists will softly knead the fascia in order to stretch, soften, lengthen and realign it. The fascia will be gently stretched until a release is perceptible. This is continued until all tension is released in the patient.
