Giana graduated with her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Simmons College in Boston, MA in 2004. Giana has spent her career in outpatient orthopedics treating varied orthopedic and sports medicine diagnoses, including post-surgical, and gait / balance dysfunction. She specializes in treatment of the spine, including neck, back pain and headache, utilizing manual therapy techniques as part of a comprehensive treatment plan that emphasizes treatment of the whole patient, not just the diagnosis. She is a member of the APTA, and has served as adjunct faculty within the Physical Therapy department at Simmons. She enjoys mentoring, education and being a clinical instructor for students. She is an avid reader of PT literature and uses the most up to date evidence in treatment. Giana has also volunteered to work as a PT in the medical tent at the Boston Marathon for the last 11 years. She completed her first Spartan Race trifecta this past year, and is training for her first 10K and half marathon. When she’s not treating patients, Giana also enjoys music, traveling, hiking, going to the beach, and running in the woods with her golden retriever Benny.
