    Cambridge Clinic – Wellbridge Athletic Club

    Welcome to our Cambridge Office, located at 5 Bennett St, Harvard Square – inside the luxurious Wellbridge Athletic Club in the rear courtyard of the Charles Hotel. This facility has a state-of- the art gym, a semi-private treatment room, and an 87 degree pool. This office enjoys T-access via the Harvard Sq stop, walking access for Harvard Sq employees, students and residents. Parking is a little more challenging if you’re not a Cambridge resident, though, metered parking is available throughout the square and there is paid parking in the hotel garage (a little pricy!). This location is not ideal for anyone with lower extremity injuries or disabilities. Please visit us at our Memorial Drive location or our Brookline location if you have difficulty with stairs.

    Luke Montrose - edited
    Luke Montrose PT, MSPT, FAAOMPT

    Luke graduated from the University of Connecticut in 2006 with his Master’s degree in Physical Therapy. The year following his graduation he began working towards advancing his Manual Therapy skills first becoming a certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist in 2010. He then went on complete his fellowship in orthopedic manual physical therapy in April of 2012, becoming the 1,113 national fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. Becoming a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical has given him advance manual and clinical reasoning skills to efficiently and effectively treat various Neuromuscular and Musculoskeletal conditions. These conditions include spinal dysfunction, extremities pathology, post-surgical, worker’s compensation, and geriatric fall risk patients to list a few. He has been practicing since 2006 primarily in outpatient orthopedic settings that service patients from diverse backgrounds (i.e., socioeconomic, gender, race). He understands the difficulties of balancing work, family, and consistently participating in a wellness program. Taking this into consideration, he is able to develop an individualized program that will fit each individual patient’s life, so as to optimize gains in treatment.

    Pratibha Golecha PT, MSPT, CMP

    Pratibha Golecha graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor’s of Physical Therapy in India and completed a Masters in Sports Injury Management in 2014 from United Kingdom. Since 2011, she has worked in various outpatient settings in India treating orthopedic, sports and neurological conditions. She incorporates a variety of techniques including Mulligan / Manual Therapy, ART (Active Release Technique), and Kinesiotaping to treat patients with evidence based approach creating individualized treatment plans. Pratibha also became a Certified Mulligan Practitioner (CMP) in 2015. She has been associated with Yuwa soccer team for underprivileged girls and has also conducted ergonomic training for corporate employees. When not treating patients, she enjoys outdoor activities, travel, food and reading.

    Jennifer Aucoin
    Jennifer Aucoin DPT

    Jen graduated with her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from the University of New England in 2016. As part of her graduate studies, she implemented an ACL injury prevention program with local soccer teams and researched quadriceps muscle deficits after ACL-reconstruction during a variety of gait tasks.  Jen received her Bachelor of Nutrition and Wellness degree from the University of New Hampshire in 2013. During her time at UNH, she was a 4 year member of the NCAA D-I women’s gymnastics team, and senior co-captain. Jen’s personal experience in athletics has sparked her interest in injury prevention and return to sport rehabilitation. Jen utilizes the most up to date evidence based practices, using a variety of therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques, to help patients achieve their goals. Jen is able to combine her personal experience as an athlete, B.S. in Nutrition and Wellness, and professional knowledge as a DPT to help all patients understand the cause of their injuries, how to overcome their injuries, and how to prevent future injuries. Jen is also certified as a post partum corrective exercise specialist, and focused on helping new mom’s to regain mobility and strength, and to return to fitness safely. When she is not working, Jen enjoys spending her time exercising, hiking, going to the beach, and providing online commentating for NCAA gymnastics meets.

    Bennett Shake
    Bennett Shake PT, DPT

    Dr. Bennett Shake graduated from MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston in 2017 with his Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Originally from Dallas, TX, Bennett has been in the greater Boston area for approximately 9 years as he has completed both his undergraduate and graduate studies in Massachusetts.

    Within Physical Therapy, Bennett enjoys treating patients with musculoskeletal disorder diagnoses in order to help return them to the activities they love. Although this is his primary focus, he enjoys working with patients who have various other diagnoses, such as neurological and balance conditions. One of his professional interests is working with resource-limited communities abroad to help provide Physical Therapy care.

    Outside of work, Bennett enjoys being involved at his church, playing and writing music, traveling abroad, spending time with friends and family, and reading. He values the opportunity to visit places with natural beauty and often goes out of his way to enjoy the woods, gardens and the ocean.
